The time when China and its industry was far behind the rest of the world is long gone. Heck, this thinking could land in history books right away.
There is another proof that they have mastered much of the things the west thought is reserved for them. This time they have presented the Sharp Sword unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV). It looks much like the western Taranis, X-47B, nEUROn or you name it. Is it as good as the western machines? We will probably never know but the fact is that it is a flying wing, probably with good stealthy features – it’s hard to determine how stealthy it is but if we add to it 2 tons of bombs and a big range it starts to look impressive.
People still laugh that these are all copies, nothing new, not as good as the originals etc. but a day will come that China will show us something unlike and innovating and I always wonder what all those experts will say then? The progress is made, step by step, slowly but forward.
The dark clouds which start to gather on the Pacific are getting darker and darker. Many say that the pivot was made to late and that China has grown to big. Te trend is there and it’s clear – China sooner or later will want to play in the major league or even take the place which is occupied since more that 20 years by USA.
We can’t have two global superpowers. There can only be one. We could have two global powers but this would mean that the only super power would have to step back and share the cake. Will this happen? The new administration might surprise us and it’s just the beginning of President Trump cadence.
The carrier group which was the king on the Pacific is now more and more vulnerable thanks to new aircraft in Chinese inventory, UAV’s, new military installations on islands surrounding China.
Someone will have to step back – if not, the war drums which can be heard from a far distance will materialize in a conflict.
