When we closely follow the news about latest innovations emerging in various USA military branches we can start to think that something is boiling under the lid.
If we think about it for a second or two this path might be the only one if USA wants to stay in the major league. If the right moment passes the ever growing pack of countries which want to reach the status of global power will finally catch up and there will have to be a shift of power and a new deal.
Even if we aren’t looking, things like X-47B, Zumwalt, B-21 just to name the few most eye catching and from the main stream, are a chance to improve the military position in a couple of years as others also improve.
The most important tings are being cooked in secret. This is obvious. There is military budget and “the military budget”. Thanks to it the most secret projects can be prepared in peace and with a chance that the adversary will find a bit less about them before the appear in public.
There are also some nice innovations which show up from time to time. Here we can name the recent laser technology for aircraft, the LDAL concept, the drone swarm etc. Recently a new mind blowing innovation popped up – rockets which could release small quad copter drones which are supposed to destroy tanks. Imagine the pace of the innovations we can observe! We talk about a situation in which a rocket is fired, which means high G for the devices inside, then they are released and “make their magic” which means destroying armored vehicles and obviously their passengers.
At first glance this looks much like a space mission. We launch sophisticated equipment which must survive the launch, and the journey and work as expected. Here we have something very similar.
We could multiply those examples but I think the point is already made. In a few years the battlefield might look very different than today. This is of course business as usual and a normal situation but I claim that there is some sort of speed up in this matter in USA in recent months or years.
Or am I completely wrong?
